Best wedding photos 2014

To describe the whole year in few words is nearly as hard as to choose 50-60 favourite images from thousands and thousands I have taken this year. It’s been an amazing journey. I’ve met so many great couples who have trusted me to photograph the most important day of their lives, and for that I will be forever grateful. I’ve witnessed so many great emotions, I’ve heard some great speeches, some bad jokes, seen some great and bad moves on the dancefloor. I’ve seen families and friends having the best times together. It’s been a privilege.

It’s been a year of more traveling, and with every mile I do, my hunger for visiting new places near and far is getting stronger and stronger.

It has also been another year of learning new things, and then quickly forgetting them to learn the new ones. The world of photography changes really quickly and it’s hard work to follow. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to Sweden to meet Fer Juaristi, and Cole and Jakob from Nordica Photograpy – they are Messis and Ronaldos of the wedding photography, and what I’ve learned in 2 days was worth more than I though possible.

It has also been a year of achievements. My work has been published in some of the most popular wedding blogs all over the world, and I have won the award for one of the best destination wedding photographs in the Junebug Weddings competition. Again, all of this would not be possible without the fantastic people I meet every day.

None of this would have happened without the person who supports me in every possible way. My wife. She’s probably seen more wedding photographs than any other person who’s not a wedding photographer. She’s my biggest critic and I hate to admit that she’s always right. She gives me the motivation to do everything, and it’s thanks to her that I know, that even the most beautiful corner of the world is not as good as home.
