Drumtochty Castle Wedding

Set within a wooded Aberdeenshire glen, a Drumtochty Castle wedding feels private from the moment everyone arrives. Danielle and David’s day began across the castle’s richly decorated rooms, with the quiet rhythm of preparations unfolding against antique furniture, tall windows and the warm Scottish morning light.

The ceremony took place at St Palladius Church, a small historic church nestled within the glen close to Drumtochty Castle. After the vows, guests gathered outside for confetti before making their way through the woodland and back towards the castle for the reception.

Back at the castle, the afternoon moved through dinner, speeches and time with the people who had travelled to celebrate. Later, the open hills provided space for relaxed portraits in the changing light. The aim was never to separate the couple from their wedding for long, but to let the landscape, the weather and the atmosphere become part of the story before everyone returned to the ballroom to dance.
