It always blows my mind when I get asked to fly to the other side of the world to photograph someone’s wedding. It’s something I never expected when I got into this job few years ago. I have also never planned to be an educator, but somehow, in a couple of years I’ve been in the business I hosted workshops all over Europe, I spoke at events in places like New York, Porto, or recently in Mexico. It was a smaller event, more like a camp, but blimey, did it feel great. The sense of community was great, and although I don’t really speak Spanish I felt like I really belong there. The conference name was El Cosmico Workshop, and it was organised by two amazing photographers Pablo Laguia and Oscar Castro. Here’s a couple of photos from it and if you’d like to go to the next one it’s happening soon.
