Last summer ( it’s hard to believe with the weather at the moment we actually have summer in Scotland ) I had a chance to photograph Lee and Wayne civil partnership. The whole ceremony was held at the beautiful grounds of Cameron House – one of the best hotels in Scotland, favorite places of many celebrities from around the world.
When you going to a venue like that you pray for good weather as you just know the hotel, and the lovely surrounding areas will play a huge part of the day and thankfully we were lucky – the weather was absolutely gorgeous. The only downside were 4 helicopters landing 200 yards from the hotel every 15 minutes so close to each other, at one point I was actually sure something really bad will happen.
Lee and Wayne made sure even the smallest detail of their big day was planned to perfection and when you think they have never been in Cameron House before, or never actually been in Scotland before, they made a fantastic job (they’re both from Ireland). They are both great guys with lovely families and it was one of the best weddings I’ve done last year – it’s so easy to photography people who simply enjoy being with their loved ones.
