Photographing couples in Rome is not an easy task, especially in the middle of the summer. There are thousands of tourists everywhere, and it’s simply impossible to get a clear view of any tourists attraction. So if you’re a Rome wedding photographer there’s only one solution – 5am wake up call when the streets are still empty. So, yes. I met Grainne and Cathal at outside colosseum very early in the morning. They’re getting married next day at beautiful Borgo di Tragliata, but since we’re all in Rome anyway, we decided to meet for a short engagement session. Even at this time, the streets were getting busy with tourists, locals…and the organizers of the last stage of Giro d’Italia. So we quickly moved to the quiet, but very romantic Trastevere – one of my favourite parts of Rome. Narrow streets, orange, yellow and red buildings, ideal place for an engagement session. You can see the enagement photos below, please stay tuned for the wedding photos in amazing Borgo. They’re coming soon.
