Being in a relationship with a photographer quite often means hours of listening about beautiful light, amazing landscapes or starring at the photos of people you’ve never heard about. It quite often mean a constant hole in the family budget, that is usually getting bigger every time that a new camera or lens is released – having one of these toys is a must, of course. Some of us take it even further. The first time I heard from Gabe was a couple of months ago, and the minute he mentioned Isle of Skye, he had my full attention. Photographing on Isle of Skye is every photographers dream, and it doesn’t matter how often you go there – you always want to come back asap. I was interested, of course. There was only one small problem. Gabe plan was that he’s wife Lauren will only find out about everything 5 minutes before the session. I was a bit nervous about it to be honest – the weather on Skye can get really bad at any time of the year, and I couldn’t imagine the the session happening ( or Lauren being happy about the surprise ) with torrential rain and wind outside. So how did it go? Well, I guess you’ll find the answer by looking at the images below.
